Hi Flist- sorry i've been totally awol for the last couple of weeks- unfortunately i've been pretty sick. I'm hoping to get out of hospital on wednesday and i look forward to catching up on everything i've missed on here sson- hope you are all well :)

I'm having a yay momment!

I acctually came out of the fan-girl closet last week and admitted to an RL friend that i'm secretly a huge slash fan. I got a weird look so i tried to demonstrate using Supernatural as a base since she watches the show.

I pointed out that Jensen and Jared are both 2 extreemly hot guys, (I'm a Jensen girl, she's a Jared girl, it works well!) so what could be hotter than the 2 of them together?

She still didn't get it.

It's one week later and she has just told me she hates me because she has just watched Supernatural and spent the whole time noticing the looks between the two boys. Then she went on youtube and watched a couple of J2 vids. Now she's addicted :) I told her not to worry, she'll find pleasant company here in Special Hell!

Just seen the new clips for ep22 on YouTube and now i'm overexcited!!

I won the awesome talents of luvplatinumbaby in the recent Sweet Charity auction, and she was kind enough to record two J2 podfics for me! The two stories i picked were both written by winterlive, who has kindly let us use her work.

I was blown away by how good these were! They were two of my favorite J2 RPS fics, and luvplatinumbaby has done an unbelievable job with them. I squeed like a true fangirl when i heard them! Ok, slightly random, but i've just had 5 cups of coffee (my ecstasy!) and i found out from the delicious dev that not only do J2 share a house and a mortgage, but they now apparently share a trailer on set as well! I'm not coming down off this high for a month!!

Ha ha- just couldn't resist this one! I'm usually so exhasusted when i get home after a 12 hour shift i just strip off my work clothes and wander around for the rest of the evening in my underwear :)

Just have spread my excitment of having bagged the awesome talents of luvplatinumbaby in the sweet charity auction. She has been beautiful enough to agree to record my fav fic into a pod book! jumps up and down excitedly!!!

Plus, we have just had another awesome ep of Supernatural last night! Very funny with lots of slashy humor...

And the posts that have been put up about the recent LA Con sound excellent- thanks so much to everyone that posted to share the love with those of use that weren't there- and there's even some great little snippets on youtube...

Conclusion... once again the boys have managed to make life suck a little less :) sinks comfortably back to glazey-eyed, sighing, fangirl haze

Oh my god- apparently this is the last sweet charity auction! That is so sad, but it is so amazing to see how many people have contributed their time and effort to raise so much money for charity. Since it's the last one, i'm just going to have to bid on something. Seriously though, soooo hard to choose! There are so many amazing people signed up this time. If you haven't done so already, you should really go and take a look- you'll be completely spoilt for choice!

Ok, so i totally admit it- whenever i get hooked on a new tv show, i can't help falling into the trap of the 'shipper'. (For anyone that doesn't already know, 'shipper' is a term used by certain internet fandoms to describe a fan who focuses on the relationship- usually romantic, between 2 of the shows main characters) I was an avid Sam/Jack shipper for Stargate for years (ducks to aviod flying objects) Then i got into Supernatural and was stuck! The show is about two(exteemly hot!!) brothers, and any females that happen into the show are just an annoying distraction! And the suddenly, out of nowhere, this gay-kink appeared and smacked me on the forehead and now i'm stuck with a RPS addiction as well. Damn you Jensen and Jared for being so hot!

So i have to ask, how does one avoid the 'shipper' syndrome. Whilst in the Stargate fandom there seemed to be a constant battle between the shippers, who wanted more on screen relationship scenes, and the rest of the fans. I seem to get drawn into the relationships of the central characters, even when thats not the focus of the show. And then i find myself getting frustrated during episodes with little interaction between those 2 characters which completly distracts from the show itself. So seriously people, how does one avoid this? Is there a solution?

Ok, so i guess i should start by saying that i simply have a strange addiction to internet fanfiction. This has recently led me to LJ, and after a few months of lurking on various sites i have finally decided to create my own LJ so i can be part of the community good and proper! :) I thought i had to at least start by writing an entry so i thought a good place to start would be to explain what brought me here.

As i already said- i was led to LJ because of Fanfiction, more specifically, Supernatural fanfiction. Got completely addicted to Supernatural over the last few months after my previous show addiction (Stargate) died. What's interesting is that i hardly watch TV at all, yet somehow i still seem to develope some pretty seriuos obsessions with American TV shows. My previous obsessions have included Xena, Buffy, the Tribe, Greys Anatomy, Alias, Dark Angel, Mutant X and Stargate (where i was unfortunate enough to learn the term "shipper" and all that came with it, which lead me down the dangerous road to fanfiction)

And now here i am, currently a complete Supernatural addict who is hopelessly obsessed with Jensen and Jared- if anyone knows of any good cures to aliviate this condition- please do not hesitate to get in touch ;)
